Ways To Reduce Your Employees’ Carbon Footprints
July 7, 2011
There are many ways to reduce the carbon footprint that your employees make through their day-to-day operations, and this is very important for the reduction of the stress that our carbon footprints place on our environment. One of the primary ways in which to reduce your employees’ carbon footprints, are to educate them on the methods in which they can do so.
If possible, have your employees to print and copy using both sides of the paper, which will help to reduce overall paper usage. This will be helpful in reducing overall operational costs, as well as the stress placed on the environment. Another helpful tip is to try to reuse as many items as possible within the office. Items such as folders and paper clips can be used numerous times without undue wear and tear. In addition, it is possible to use certain envelopes additional times as well. If possible, have your employees to make an earnest attempt to communicate memos through the use of bulletin boards, instead of sending paper memos etc. It will also be very helpful for your employees to recycle any items within the office that are recyclable, such as glass, plastics, and any recyclable metals.More info here: How to Calculate Your Carbon Footprint
